  2. Thanks for playing Uprising! We at Cyclone hope you'll 
  3. enjoy this demo as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you.  
  4. Please, play through the training missions before playing 
  5. the game. Uprising is a first person action / strategy 
  6. game, but there's a lot more to it than just shooting 
  7. stuff with your Wraith. This is a beta demo, which means 
  8. that there are a few bugs we weren't able to squash.
  9.  
  10. * You need Direct X 5.0 to play Uprising. Our web site has 
  11. a link to Microsoft, where you can pull it down. If you 
  12. have any problems with your mouse not responding, it's 
  13. probably direct X related.
  14.  
  15. * Some performance problems can be handled by going into 
  16. your Win '95 control panel and disabling graphic 
  17. acceleration.
  18.  
  19. * Some computer configurations don't run Uprising as well 
  20. as others. Please come to our website, 
  21. www.3DO.com/uprising,  and let us know about your 
  22. problems.

  24. * Our target platform is a P133 with 32 megs of RAM. If 
  25. you have a slower computer go to graphics mode - turn off 
  26. the sky, go to low resolution mode, turn off dynamic 
  27. lighting, and reduce the screen size. If you have less 
  28. RAM, turn off high resolution textures.

  30.     We are only a month away from shipping, so if you 
  31. find any bugs, let us know. Be looking for new versions on 
  32. our website, www.3DO.com/uprising, then click on Uprising.

  35. OVERVIEW:
  36. 1. Your Wraith tank is a mobile command center on the  
  37.    battlefield.
  38. 2. Use allied units such as infantry, tanks, AAV  
  39.    gunships and bombers to destroy the enemy.
  40. 3. To create units, establish Citadel bases on command 
  41.    bunkers throughout a map.
  42. 4. Build factories at Citadels to produce unit types, 
  43.    or mine for power resource.
  44. 5. Build as many Citadels and factories as possible. 
  45.    Stop the enemy from doing the same!

  47. CONTROLS:
  48. Up/Down Arrows                    Wraith forward/back
  49. Left/Right Arrows            Wraith strafe left/right
  50. Mouse                    Controls view
  51. Left click                Primary weapon
  52. Right click                Secondary weapon

  54. F9        Calls in Citadel (Wraith must be in the claim 
  55.         square of a command bunker)
  56. F12        Command nearest Citadel. Cycles through    
  57.         multiple Citadels.
  58. F1        Deploys infantry (must have factory)
  59. F2        Deploys tank (must have factory)
  60. F3        Deploys AAV gunship (must have factory)
  61. F4        Deploys bomber (must have factory)
  62. F5        Deploys gun turret (only near claimed
  63.         Citadel)
  64. F6        Deploys SAM site (only near claimed Citadel)
  65. F7        Killer satellite strike (must have factory)
  66. F11        Toggles Wraith HUD

  68. O            Satellite Map
  69. Backspace    Recalls deployed unit (unit must be targeted)
  70. Enter        Secondary weapon menu
  71. Shift        Deploy Unit menu 
  72. F        Fixes Wraith (Wraith must be in the claim 
  73.         square of a command bunker.  This command only 
  74.         fixes your WraithÆs lasers and heat seeking 
  75.         missiles.  Your special weapons, Cupid     
  76.         Missiles, are replenished by power ups     
  77.         dropping from the sky.)
